This event focussed on building bonds for Sustainable Development and was hosted by Baroness Verma, currently Co-Chair, U.N. Women UK and Chancellor for Roehampton University
The event marked the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, a United Nations observance for promoting intercultural dialogue. Befitting to the occasion, the programme was attended by Diplomats including Their Excellencies Ambassador of Chile Prof. Ximena Fuentes and High Commissioner of Belize Ms Therese Rath, and Minister Kotaro from the Embassy of Japan, during which cultural diplomacy and the role of culture and art in fostering mutual understanding was highlighted. With an objective of building valuable people-to-people connect as a shared goal, Sanskruti Centre has been marking the occasion since 2018 and successfully engaged with different countries across continents.
Apart from the cultural expressions of India, Cueca- the traditional dance of Chile was presented by Daniel Perez Munster- Sergeant in Chilean Navy and Aghata Perez Astorga. Ragasudha Vinjamuri presented Bharatanatyam on Earth Anthem, written by career diplomat and Deputy Director General of ICCR Abhay K.
