The 25th International Mother Language Day was celebrated at the British Parliament’s House of Lords, organised by Sanskruti Centre.
The event highlighted twenty-five languages from India and South Asia, featuring contributions and cultural expressions from participants including Doctors, Solicitors, Poets, Councillors, Researchers, University Educators, Singers, Dancers and other professionals who presented their self-authored pieces in their respective mother languages. An anthology booklet containing these poems, titled Rhyme and Resonance (Kaavya Naadam), was released at this event. Mr Andrew Sutton- Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Bhutan and Prof. Peter Austin, Emeritus Professor in Field Linguistics at SOAS, University of London were Guests of Honour.
